Alice Seitz Bartlett, 79, Sunrise - April 27, 1938, Sunset- February 19, 2018. She was born in Fossil, the daughter of Milton and Ann Nunn Seitz. She was small town girl with deep roots and a love for her birthplace. Her tender years began at Nelsons Mill Camp. In 1942 her family moved to Oregon City where her parents worked in the ship yards during times of war. In 1946 her family moved back to Fossil where Alice attended Fossil Grade School and graduated from Wheeler County High School with the class of 1956.
Alice married, moved away, had children. In 1990 she returned home to care for her aging mother. She recalls it as some of the best moments of life and an honor to have shared that time with her loving mother. Alice worked at several cafes in town serving a great plate of food always with a smile. Her family and friends remember her as a ray of sunshine, always happy and looking on the bright side. With comments that make you shake your head or just leave you laughing. Alice was never boring. Alice was loved. Alice will be missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents Ann and Milton Seitz. Alice is dearly loved by those she left behind: sister: Jean Morley, sister: Joyce and Wendell Clodfelter, brother: David and Nina Seitz, her son, James Gilpin, daughter: Cindy and Ken Joseph, daughter: Beverly and Vincent Ryan, son: Micheal Bartlett, son: Steve and Michelle Bartlett.
