Andra Lee Kendrick

Andr`a Lee Kendrick, age 64, died at his home, on Wednesday, January 25th, 2023. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, February 10, 2023, at the Ione Community Church.

Andr`a was born May 6th, 1958, in Winchester Kentucky to parents James Weathers & Susie Kendrick. At the age of eighteen, Andr`a entered the United States Army for education through the tank tech division and was stationed in Fort Knox Kentucky. He later went on to do odd jobs until he started working for a trucking company, where his love for driving and travel started.

That job even found his way to the love of his life Susan Thompson at a truck stop outside of Kingman, Arizona in 1986. On July 29th, 1989, Andra` & Susan married. Living in Kingman, Andr`a took on a waste management position where he was a huge reason to the company’s success, as he mapped out entire routes for the trucks waste pickup schedule that changed the performance of the company significantly. The Kendrick family now including children Stormy, Skyler, and Shadow moved to Ione closer to Susan’s family. And where a few years later Andr`a went back to school and got his Associates in Plumbing at Blue Mountain Community College. Andr`a, a jack of all trades, took on his own business as a landscaping and plumbing consultant for the last 15 years.

Andr`a loved collections of coins, comic books, baseball cards, and greeting cards, playing games like chess, and the dice game 10,000, he found passion in music and education and above all, his love for his family.

He is survived by: (wife) Susan, (son) Skyler, and (daughter) Shadow Kendrick Andr`a was proceeded in death by: (son) Stormy Kendrick Donations are welcome for Andra's family, they may be made through the Bank of Eastern Oregon into ICC Business Savings or mailed directly to Ione Community Church, PO Box D, Ione, OR 97843.
