Curtis (Curt) Harrison, 63, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, on Thursday, February 15th, after battling cancer.
In his earlier years, Curt enjoyed being an outdoor guide in Alaska, which was perfect for the man who loved hunting, fishing, and spending time in the great outdoors. He loved trap-shooting, having entered and won countless competitions in his life. He also loved working on and showing his 1970 Chevelle and his 1953 Chevy pickup. Later, Curt became an expert in the field of demolition and was highly sought out for his knowledge and skills.
Curt was best known for his vivacious personality and his big heart, embracing friends old and new as if they were family. Spending time with friends and family was his favorite. He had an infectious laugh and used it often. He lit up the room just by being in it.
Curt is survived by his loving wife, Debbie, stepdaughter Ashley (Chris), stepson, Andrew, devoted son Shad and daughter-in-law Treva, grandson Johnathon, granddaughters Morgan and Bailey, parents Dale (Myrna) and mother Darlene, and sisters Shelly (Jon) and Tami (Bud) and 5 nieces and nephews. He will be dearly missed by all.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday February 24 at Fossil Elementary Grade School, 404 Main Street, Fossil, Oregon. Reception immediately following at the fairgrounds. Donations to the American Cancer Society, Oregon Division Inc., 0330 SW Curry St., Portland, OR 97239 in Curt’s name are greatly appreciated.
