Loretta Cleone Wagenaar, 85, of Condon, OR passed away August 19th, 2022 in Pendleton.
She was born on December 20th, 1936 to Franklin May and Alice Viola May. She was born in Condon. Growing up she lived between Condon, Myrtle Point, Hillsboro, and Monument. When she was 16 years old she lost her father in a train-road grader accident. She lived a majority of her later life in Condon with a short time in Pendleton. Most recently had to move to Pendleton when a higher level of care was required.
On October 24th, 1958 Loretta married her husband, William Wagenaar, whom was lost to a battle with cancer in November of 1999. Prior to his passing they worked side-by-side ranching, farming, and raising their children outside of Condon. They had five children together, who she spent her life devoting her time and love to.
Her hobbies and interests included: family, gardening, animals, puzzles, music, western’s, solitaire, walking, drives in the mountains, swinging on her porch swing, cooking, baking, sewing, crochet, and most importantly her love for her yard and flowers. She was well-known for her beautiful yard and many would always stop to admire.
Loretta is survived by: her son and his wife: Chuck and Pam Wagenaar; son and his wife, Glenn and Tanya Wagenaar; daughter and her husband, Rich and Loretta Hampton; son and his wife, Bill and Sabrina Wagenaar; daughter, Ellen Wagenaar, (8) grandchildren, and (10) great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Franklin and Alice May; husband, William Wagenaar; and brother, Franklin May.
A graveside service was held at Condon Masonic Cemetery August 25th, 2022 at 11:00am. Provided luncheon to follow at Condon Veteran’s Memorial Hall.
