Myrtle Agnes McMillan, 84, of Lexington died, February 14, 2022, in Heppner. A memorial graveside service will be held on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 2 p.m. at the Lexington Penland Cemetery at Lexington.
She was born December 20, 1937, at Geddes, South Dakota to Henry and Audrey McCarl. At the age of one, her family moved to Harrisburg, Oregon. After graduating from Harrisburg High School, she moved to Heppner, where she worked at Pioneer Memorial Hospital as a Nurse’s Aide
Myrtle met her husband Scott “Denny” McMillan in Lexington. The couple built a house on the family wheat ranch, where they raised two children.
Myrtle worked for many years cleaning houses, and after retirement she volunteered at the Neighborhood Center in Heppner. One of her greatest joys was spending time with family and friends.
She is survived by her children Kenzie McMillan of Lexington and Marion (Meredith) McMillan of Lakeland, Florida, 7 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, a brother Morris (Shirley) McCarl of Lexington, and countless nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, and brothers Myron McCarl and Mervin McCarl.
