Tyler Jay Grady, 27, died on March 14, 2021 at his home in Arlington, Oregon.
Tyler was born on July 27, 1993 in The Dalles, Oregon to parents Jodi Claughton and Jonathan Grady. He grew up in Arlington, where he attended school until his graduation in 2011. After graduating Tyler spent a semester at Chemeketa Community College, before returning to his love of farming.
Tyler called many places home throughout his life, from Arlington, to Texas, to Nevada, and New Mexico, and in each place making the best of friends and impacting the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. T
yler had many passions in life, but over everything he loved music. Playing it, writing it, and especially listening to it with the people he loved. Tyler played music his entire life with his friends and family. He went from heavy metal rocker with his high school friends in the infamous band “Ed As Himself” and as he grew older, he started showing the love he always had for old country music and really just the sounds of an old soul.
Tyler is survived by his long-time girlfriend Ashley Stephens, his parents Jodi Claughton and Jonathan Grady, his stepparents Joe Claughton and Jennifer Grady, his grandparents Dave and Lisa Davidson and Elaine Grady, his siblings Sara Grady, Samuel Grady, Grace Claughton, Ella Grady, and JaeLee Grady, his loyal pup Boozer, as well as his aunts, uncles, countless cousins, and a sea of friends.
Preceding him in death were his grandmother Nancy Davidson and grandfather John Grady.
Services were held at the Arlington Cemetery on Saturday, March 20th at 11:00 a.m.
