Val Marton Bailey, 66, of Lexington, Oregon passed away at his home on July 12, 2020 from a yearlong battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at his home on July 31, 2020 at 1 p.m.
Val was born on July 16,1953 at San Francisco, California to Giles and Joan Bailey He moved to Weston, Oregon in 1966.
Val served in the United States Navy from 1971 to 1974. In April of 1975, he married Brenda Cheuvront, the couple had a daughter in 1976. They separated in 1977. In December of 1980 Val had a son. On October 23rd, 1982 he married Anita Davis, they had 3 Children. They adopted their 3 great nephews on October 20, 2019.
Val’s last employment was at JVB Dairy in Ione. He retired in May of 2019. He loved fishing, music, rock hunting and spending time with his friends and family.
Survivors include his wife Anita at their home in Lexington, daughters: Kiesha Lankford (Mark) of Albany, Oregon, Heather Ashbridge of Heppner, and Alisha Serrano of Lexington, sons: Bryan Pawley of Louisville, Kentucky, Joshua Bailey (Cynthia) of Echo, Oregon, Bryson Bailey, Mathew Bailey, and Julius Bailey all of Lexington, 18 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, sister: Aldana Potter (Gary) of Cloverdale, Oregon, brother: Allen Bailey (Lavita) of Eureka, Montana, sister -in-law: Katrina Mattila (John) of Weston, Oregon, brother-in-law: Lee Davis of Pendleton, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, ex-wife: Brenda Cheuvront, brothers: Jack Bailey and Jimmy Bailey and a sister Carol Bailey.
